Join YCLM for a free virtual boardroom series session on “Reducing the Total Cost of Building Ownership (TCBO) with High-Performance Buildings and Deep Retrofits” presented by Jim Nostedt, President of SEEFAR Building Analytics
Code-built buildings are typically the lowest first-cost building that can be built and still allow you to obtain an occupancy permit. We also know that we need to reduce our GHG emissions dramatically, but people think constructing high-performance buildings or performing deep retrofits will not be economical. Our life-cycle cost or Total Cost of Building Ownership (TDBO) analysis shows that high-performance buildings and deep retrofits of existing buildings have 60-year TCBO savings equal to the initial capital cost of the building. For example, a $10 million building will have TCBO savings of $10 million. During this Webinar, Jim will:
· Define the TCBO
· Show the benefits to owners, designers, contractors, and lenders of constructing high-performance buildings and performing deep retrofits,
· Provide case studies of several building types with TCBO savings
· Show the changes required in the design/construction process to achieve high TCBO savings.
Date: Thursday, October 20
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Location: Online webinar via Zoom
Cost: Free (please register using the form below)
