Henry Borger is President of Borland Construction Inc., one of Manitoba’s largest heavy civil contractors. Borland has over a century of experience in the construction of civil infrastructure, including runways, sewer & water systems, municipal roads and Provincial highways. Borland is a subsidiary of Ladco Company Limited which is a leader in Manitoba’s land development, property management and construction industries, and is 100% owned by the Borger family.

Henry’s career started in aerospace engineering with CAE Aviation Ltd. in Edmonton and later with Bombardier Aerospace Ltd. in Montreal. Henry worked as a management consultant with Cap Gemini Ernst and Young in Chicago before joining Ladco in 2002. In 2004 Henry took over Borland’s operations and was promoted to President in 2006.

Henry serves on the boards of the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association (MHCA) and Canadian Construction Association (CCA). Henry is a past chair of the MHCA and currently chairs CCA’s Civil Infrastructure Council. Henry has also served on the board of Southport Aerospace Centre Inc. and chaired its governance committee.

Henry holds a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Science (Aeronautics and Astronautics) from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. Henry is also a registered Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
