Join YCLM for a tour of the Manitoba Hydro Construction Division Office, a single office being constructed to house the multiple construction groups operating within Manitoba Hydro. The building area is approximately 2,450 square metres, with a gross floor area of 6,680 square metres.

Spaces within the new building include workstations, work rooms, focus rooms/pods, hoteling stations, meeting rooms, a field locker room, kitchenettes, fitness room, workshop and storage. All of these program elements are encapsulated in a aesthetically pleasing mix of exposed steel and heavy timber construction.

The building has a specific focus on energy efficiency and flexibility, and incorporates a multitude of natural materials and lighting throughout the space enhance the end users overall experience. The project utilizes a dowel laminated timber roof system, fir timber and exposed steel structural elements with a mix of insulated metal panel and aluminum curtainwall glazing. At the time of the tour interior finishes will not be in place as the project will almost be in a weather tight state. The building also features an upper storey mechanical penthouse that houses the majority of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems. 

After the tour we’ll be heading to Dal's at 701 Regent Ave West for drinks, appetizers and networking.
