Wade Harms, Special Projects Manager at PCL and Tyler Provost, President of Bison Container Homes will be presenting on some of their recent projects using shipping containers here in Winnipeg and in northern communities. Wade will focus on PCL’s “Quaran-Tin Pods” project they worked on this past fall and Tyler will talk about two recent projects he was a part of in Norway House, Mission Island Community Centre and First Nations Duplex Housing. They will both touch on the unique challenges when building with shipping containers here in Manitoba.

Wade comes from a background in engineering, and is a former YCLM board member. As Special Projects Manager at PCL Wade is responsible for being accountable for the entire Special Project division in the Winnipeg District. He provides leadership and strategy for the department by selecting, supporting and developing outstanding construction professionals. Wade is committed to client satisfaction, constantly developing and maintaining client relationships.
Tyler Prevost’s career began in electrical before coming back to construction and carpentry work. He first founded Cobra Construction in 2009 as a general contracting company. In 2015, Prevost expanded by opening Cobra Structures, a second division to effectively serve customers with fabric building needs in a variety of industries. In 2019, Prevost formed Bison Container Homes, building sea can container homes as a modern, cost-saving, alternative product solution for housing in northern Canadian communities. Prevost recently launched a mechanical division, Cobra Mechanical, in order to provide full commercial and industrial turnkey solutions.
