Join YCLM for a site tour of the nearly complete École Templeton School. Parkwest Projects is the General Contractor for the construction of the new 55,300 square foot École Templeton for the Seven Oaks School Division. The school will serve 450 students from Kindergarten to Grade 5, along with a 75 child space Daycare. The school is on schedule for opening of the September 2020 school year, which will help alleviate crowding at surrounding schools in the division. The design features large green space, playgrounds, and recreational facilities for the community, while the building is targeting LEED-Silver Accreditation.
A representative from the project architect, LM Architectural Group, along with some of the project engineering team will help tour YCLM members around the job site and will go over some of the areas of the project that makes building and designing a school different from other projects.
With the current climate of COVID-19, the following protocols would need to be in place to ensure everyone’s safety on the tour:
Mandatory hand sanitization when entering the site
Non-medical masks required if distancing cannot be kept on the tour (please bring a mask!)
If you are sick or displaying any symptoms you will not be allowed on site
PPE, including steel-toes, hard hat, safety glasses and high-vis, is required.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we will unfortunately NOT be holding a networking event after the tour. This is reflected with a lower-than-usual price to conduct the tour.
Date: Tuesday, July 28
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Location: 1340 Templeton Ave.
Thanks to LM Architectural Group and Parkwest Projects for making this tour available to YCLM members.
